(barbeque sauces)      Consumer Union's Barbecue Sauce

   1      Tsp           Garlic (2-3 Cloves) -- crushed
     3/4 cup              White Vinegar
   1     Can          (6Oz) Tomato Paste
     1/4 cup              Dark Molasses
     1/4 cup              Light Molasses
     1/4 cup              Water
   2     Tbsp         Orange Marmalade
   1 1/2 Tsp          Salt
     1/2 tsp          Black Pepper
     1/2 tsp          Ginger
     1/2 tsp          Ground Mustard
     1/4 tsp          Allspice
     1/4 tsp          Celery Seed
     1/4 tsp          Dried Thyme Leaves
     1/8 tsp          Cayenne Pepper
   1     sm           Bay Leaf
   1     tbsp         Liquid Smoke Flavoring

In a medium-sized saucepan, combine all ingredients except liquid smoke. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer gently, uncovered for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat and discard bay leaf.  Add liquid smoke. Stir.
